We're already onto Week 4 of the new fantasy baseball campaign, and while you should be reacting to early-season results, it's too early to get too high or too low on your roster. Below is another edition of Nick Mariano's updated 2025 fantasy baseball rankings and tiers for roto leagues (5x5 mixed leagues) heading into Week 4.
Use these rest-of-season roto league rankings to identify risers and fallers from preseason rankings and identify potential buy and sell candidates moving forward.
The MLB season is a marathon and not a sprint, so continue to monitor player performance over the next few weeks before locking rest-of-season outlooks in place.

Top 300 Fantasy Baseball Rankings Updates
While we've lost a few key names to injury, such as CJ Abrams, this past week has seen far more returns to action versus losses. Freddie Freeman has been back in the saddle for nearly a week. Others like Matt McLain, Jesus Sanchez, Clarke Schmidt, and a top-10 arm in Spencer Strider are back on the field, with players like Jackson Merrill, Wyatt Langford, and Pablo Lopez trending towards swift returns.
It's easy to succumb to knee-jerk reactions in the middle of April, but it's still early! We must balance trust in our preseason stances with the small sample size shown in the first few weeks of the 2025 season. And don't forget that we're getting ever closer to the next crop of prospects joining the bigs! How much patience are you willing to show your early- and mid-round players who are facing early struggles in the face of shiny new toys on the waiver wire?
Hopefully, the rankings below will give you some perspective on our thoughts on these topics and help you assess the strength of your rosters going forward. Let's see where players such as Jung Hoo Lee, Taylor Ward, Trevor Story, Jonathan Aranda, and Michael King are listed in our early rest of-season rankings.
Rest-Of-Season Fantasy Baseball Rankings (Week 4 Update)
These rankings will be updated every week throughout the season, so some of these situations are very fluid. It's not time to overreact, and we may not be ready to elevate hot-starting players into the elite yet, either, but it's certainly a good checkpoint for the long fantasy season.
