1 year agoMinnesota Twins outfielder/designated hitter Byron Buxton (ribs) left Thursday's 7-6 win over the Cleveland Guardians early after a pitch hit him in the ribs. However, manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters post-game that the injury didn't get worse as the night went on, according to Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com, so hopefully, the 29-year-old is okay. Buxton will have imaging done on Friday, so there should be more information soon. The former first-round pick is slashing .220/.325/.445 this year over 50 games with 10 home runs, 31 runs, 23 RBI, and six steals. Buxton's a very productive bat despite his batting average, so fantasy managers should keep their fingers crossed.--Spencer Seguin
