Texas Tech quarterback Behren Morton (head) exited Saturday's matchup against Utah in the third quarter after taking a shoulder to the head and neck area on a scramble. The senior left the game with the Red Raiders holding a 10-3 lead and was replaced by Will Hammond. Before his exit, Morton completed 12 of 19 passes for 142 yards and two interceptions. Coming into the game, he had been one of the most efficient passers in the Big 12, carrying a 70.4% completion rate with 11 touchdowns to just one interception. His 208.4 quarterback rating leads all Big 12 quarterbacks.

ESPN's Pete Thamel posted on X on Thursday night that South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers (concussion) has been upgraded to probable for South Carolina's game on Saturday evening in Columbia, Missouri. Sellers suffered a concussion last Saturday against Vanderbilt late in the second quarter after a helmet-to-helmet hit removed him from the contest. He was unable to return. Sellers was spotted in South Carolina's practice on Wednesday and appears to be on track to start against Missouri. Missouri has won five of the last six Mayor's Cup games. South Carolina claimed a 34-30 win at home in 2024. Sellers has completed 29 of 45 passes for 431 yards and two touchdowns to one interception this season. He has added one rushing touchdown.

Auburn star receiver Eric Singleton Jr. (hip) is listed as questionable on the SEC injury report ahead of Saturday's game at Oklahoma. The SEC opener for both teams is a pivotal matchup as both Auburn and Oklahoma are currently ranked and looking to improve upon poor showings a season ago. The Georiga Tech transfer is tied with sophomore Cam Coleman in receiving yards with 149. He has scored two touchdowns on the season so far. If he can't go, expect Coleman to lead the way through the air for Auburn.

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, there is optimism that South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers (head) could play against Missouri on Saturday. After throwing just seven passes for 94 yards and an interception, the sophomore exited last week's game against Vanderbilt and entered concussion protocol after suffering a head injury. While he will have to clear concussion protocol, this is obviously an encouraging report for the Gamecocks, who could have their dynamic quarterback available for the all-important road trip to "the other" Columbia. In three games this season, Sellers has tallied 431 passing yards, 45 rushing yards, three total touchdowns, and one interception.

Colorado quarterback Kaidon Salter is expected to start against Wyoming on Saturday, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. The Liberty transfer started the team's first two games of the season before being benched for Ryan Staub for last week's loss to Houston. Salter completed 68.2% of his passes for 261 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions in his first two games with the Buffaloes. He was a dynamic passer and runner with the Flames, and Colorado is hoping to get similar production out of him after dropping two of its three games to open the 2025 campaign.

Updating from a previous report, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia said he is not seeking a seventh year of collegiate eligibility. After a report came out suggesting his attorney is challenging the NCAA for another season, Pavia took to X and said, "This is my last year." The 24-year-old has played in 43 games over the last four seasons with New Mexico State and Vanderbilt, tallying 7,361 passing yards, 2,361 rushing yards, and 87 total touchdowns. After beating South Carolina last week, the Commodores are seeking consecutive bowl berths for the first time since 2012 and 2013 when James Franklin was the head coach in Nashville.

Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia is reportedly seeking another year of collegiate eligibility after being granted an injunction, making him eligible for the 2025 season last year. The 24-year-old is already in his sixth season of college football during his second campaign at Vanderbilt after spending two years at New Mexico Military Institute and two years at New Mexico State. Pavia's attorney is delivering oral arguments in the Pavia vs. NCAA case on Tuesday. This is obviously a situation worth monitoring, as Pavia has become one of the nation's most dynamic quarterbacks through 16 games with the Commadores. So far in 2025, Pavia has tallied 645 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, and 129 rushing yards to lead Vanderbilt to a 3-0 record, including wins over South Carolina and Virginia Tech on the road.

TCU leading rusher Kevorian Barnes (leg) is questionable for Saturday's rivalry game against SMU. Barnes hurt his leg last week in the win over Abilene Christian. He torched the North Carolina defense in Week 1 for 113 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. The UTSA transfer has been a good fit in Kendal Briles' system, and his absence would be a blow in the big game. If Barnes can't go, expect the Horned Frogs to roll with a committee of Jeremy Payne, Nate Palmer, and Trent Battle, who have all received carries this season.

Indiana running back Lee Beebe Jr. (knee) suffered a non-contact knee injury and will miss the rest of the 2025 season, according to head coach Curt Cignetti. The junior ball carrier joined the program after spending the last three seasons at UAB, compiling over 1,200 rushing yards and 12 total touchdowns. In three games for the Hoosiers this season, he rushed 27 times for 209 yards and one score. With Beebe out of action, running backs Kaelon Black and Roman Hemby will be slated to see more touches as Indiana approaches Big Ten play. The Hoosiers take on No. 9 Illinois at home this Saturday as they start the road to a potential second consecutive College Football Playoff berth.

Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams (concussion) returned to action on Saturday after missing Week 2. Williams had not had 100 receiving yards in a game in nearly a year, but that changed on Saturday as Alabama blew out Wisconsin. Williams had a plethora of impressive plays, finishing the day with five receptions for 165 yards and two touchdowns. The sophomore receiver was the focal point of the Crimson Tide's offense in the dominant showing, and should remain such going forward. Alabama is on bye next week and will travel to Georgia on September 27.

Penn State quarterback Drew Allar did not look great in the 52-6 win over Villanova on Saturday. Allar completed 16-of-29 passes for 209 yards with a touchdown and an interception against the FCS-level defense. Penn State has yet to face a challenge this season, but a big one is coming after their upcoming bye this weekend. The Nittany Lions will host Oregon on September 27 in a Big Ten Championship rematch, a good test for the potential first-round quarterback and their toughest matchup of the season until traveling to Columbus on November 1.

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers (head) was knocked out of Saturday night's game early and did not return. The Gamecocks fell at home to Vanderbilt, 31-7. Backup quarterback Luke Doty never got the offense going, as they did not score a point from the point he entered the game in the second quarter. Sellers had completed 6-of-7 passes for 94 yards and an interception when he was knocked out. South Carolina will want their quarterback back for a big game on the road against Missouri next weekend, but it remains to be seen how severe the injury is.

Florida quarterback DJ Lagway had the worst showing of his young career on Saturday night against LSU. The sophomore completed 33-of-49 pass attempts for 287 yards, a touchdown, and five interceptions. Many of the turnovers were factors of poor decision making. LSU's defense has looked incredible thus far and playing in Baton Rouge at night is no easy feat, but the performance was inexplicably awful. Lagway and the Gators have now dropped two straight games in poor offensive showings. They play on the road at Miami this week, another tough test for the young quarterback.

LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier played well in Saturday's 20-10 win over Florida. Nussmeier didn't have to impress on a day where Florida quarterback DJ Lagway threw five interceptions, but the signal caller looked good in more of a game manager type of role. He completed 15-of-27 passes for 220 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while also running for five yards. Nussmeier didn't light the scoreboard up, but did a good job leading a talented LSU team to a victory against a tough Gators' defense. Through three games, the senior has not put up Heisman numbers as he was expected to during the offseason but perhaps he can give his numbers a boost next weekend against Southeast Louisiana.

Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr looked good in the thrilling 41-40 loss against Texas A&M on Saturday night. The redshirt freshman is now 0-2 through his first two career starts, but his poise has to have Fighting Irish fans excited about the future of their program. Carr completed 20-of-32 passes for 293 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the narrow loss. He also took two sacks, resulting in negative 15 yards rushing on the game. With arguably Notre Dame's two toughest games out of the way, Carr has a full season to continue to grow and develop after being thrust into the starting role in two tough matchups to open the season. The young quarterback has shown a lot of promise despite narrowly losing both starts.
