Ramon Laureano Stealing Bases Again
3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano went 2-for-4 with two runs, one walk and one stolen base in a 9-6 loss to the Houston Astros on Tuesday night. Laureano stole third base during the second inning off of Astros starting pitcher Framber Valdez, marking the second consecutive game in which he's swiped a base. The 26-year-old now has 10 steals on the season, with eight coming in April. The drought was puzzling, but the outfielder is clearly capable of being a force on the base paths when he feels up for it. Laureano now has 13 homers, 30 RBI, 10 steals, 39 runs and a career-high 12.7% barrel rate through 66 games. He won't be much help with batting average or in on-base-percentage leagues, but Laureano is a worthy OF2 in most leagues due to his ability to help in other categories.
