Jake Cave Recalled, Ryan LaMarre Optioned
6 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Jake Cave was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday. The move comes in response to the team optioning outfielder Ryan LaMarre to Triple-A on June 24. LaMarre hasn't been terrible this season, hitting to the tune of a .263 average and a .634 OPS. That said, LaMarre has struggled against right-handed pitching this season (.242) as opposed to left-handed pitching (.303). The Twins won't see a left-hander until June 30. Cave hasn't done much offensively this season either, and will probably provide depth until Byron Buxton finally makes his return to the team. Both LaMarre and Cave can be left on the waiver wire in most leagues.
