Eddie Rosario Injured Wednesday
5 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario (ankle) appeared to turn his ankle when rounding first base and left the game early on Wednesday in the third inning. Rosario had two singles, a run scored and an RBI in his two plate appearances before leaving the game. He's been excellent this year, hitting .282/.312/.529 with 20 home runs, 51 runs, 60 RBI and three steals in 324 plate appearances, so losing him for any amount of time would be really bad news for his owners. The Twins are also hurting for outfield depth with Byron Buxton and Marwin Gonzalez on the injured list and Max Kepler sitting out Wednesday after being hit by a pitch on Tuesday. Rosario is now tied with Seattle's Domingo Santana for the American League lead in RBI with 60.
