It's June already! When did that happen? We begin June with a pretty nice nine-game slate for us. It's nice to have a uniform main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. It doesn't always happen that way. This week, the main slate is nine games on both sites and starts mid-afternoon. What more could you want?
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Saturday, June 1, 2024, with the slate starting at 4:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Chris Sale vs. OAK ($11K DraftKings; $11.6K FanDuel)
The Braves are in a bit of a tailspin since losing Ronald Acuna Jr. again. Don't blame Sale. He has at least 24 DraftKings points in seven consecutive games. He has been even more brilliant at home. Sale boasts a perfect 6-0 record (in only six starts) with a 0.69 WHIP and 1.37 ERA at home this year. That includes games against Texas (before their slump), the Cubs, and the Padres.
Top five starting pitchers with the best FIP in the month of May:
1. Chris Sale (0.78)
2. Tarik Skubal (1.90)
3. Garrett Crochet (1.91)
4. Kevin Gausman (2.02)
5. Cristopher Sanchez (2.06)— KaneJeffries (@KaneJeffries09) May 31, 2024
Sale only allowed two earned runs in the entire month of May (32 innings) with 45 strikeouts. The A's are 26th in strikeout percentage (25.4%) against left-handed pitching. Sale is worth whatever price we have to pay for him today. This matchup is off-the-charts good.
Garrett Crochet at MIL ($9K DraftKings; $10.1K FanDuel)
Crochet is coming off of a May in which he only allowed three runs in 29 innings while striking out 38. Those numbers aren't quite in Chris Sale's stratosphere, but they aren't far off either and Crochet comes at a significant discount. The matchup is nearly as good.
The Brewers may lead the N.L. Central, but they still struggle against lefties. Milwaukee is only hitting .222 against lefties this year with an alarming 26.3% strikeout rate. Add that to Crochet's 29.9% strikeout rate, and there is potential for a ceiling game here.
Ryan Weathers vs. TEX ($7.5K DraftKings; $8.8K FanDuel)
Lefties are going to rule the bump today. Weathers has only allowed one run in his last three starts combined and has struck out 19 in 21 innings. Those aren't great strikeout numbers, but they are plenty good enough for the price. The Rangers finally scored a few runs against Arizona, but it was still a slow month. Texas has scored three or fewer runs in 12 of their last 18 games. Add that to a massive park boost in Miami, and we have every reason to think Weathers will continue his hot streak.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Bobby Witt Jr. – SS, KC vs. Joe Musgrove ($6.4K DK; $4.3K FD)
Witt is showing no signs of slowing down. He is hitting .364 with four homers, 15 RBI, seven runs scored, and a steal over the last 10 games. Musgrove is heavy on four-seamers, curve balls, and sliders. Witt smashes all of those offerings. The only pitch that he has kind of struggled against this year is the sweeper -- a pitch that Musgrove throws less than 10% of the time.

Luis Arraez – 1B/2B, SD vs. Alec Marsh ($4.7K DK; $2.9K FD)
Arraez has 26 hits in the last 13 games. So what if he only has one homer on the year? He's getting on base constantly and scoring runs. I love the price on FanDuel. It's a tougher sell on DraftKings, but he still has a great matchup today.
Jose Miranda – 3B, MIN vs. Framber Valdez ($3.6K DK; $2.6K FD)
People are asking what's wrong with Framber this year. Not much that wasn't wrong before. The 50% hard-hit rate is alarming, but it has been over 40% in each of the previous five seasons. This is nothing new. The metrics show that Valdez has been lucky for a few years now. The luck has run out.
Miranda is coming off of a series against the Royals in which he drove in five runs in four games with a homer. Miranda has a .803 OPS against lefties this year and has only struck out five times in 46 plate appearances. He hits all of Framber's offerings reasonably well. This could be the start of another good series for Miranda.
Also consider: Jose Ramirez, Matt Vierling, Keibert Ruiz
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Yordan Alvarez - OF, HOU vs. Joe Ryan ($5.2K DK; $3.6K FD)
The numbers on Alvarez are a little lower than we are used to, but he is hitting .359 over the last 10 games. A breakout is coming. It might happen against Ryan. Ryan throws four-seamers and splitters 72% of the time. Yordan is hitting .296 against the four-seamers and .389 against splitters. It could be a long day for Ryan.
Steven Kwan – OF, CLE vs. Mitchell Parker ($4.3K DK; $3.2K FD)
Kwan missed four weeks with a hamstring injury but showed no signs of rust in his return last night. Kwan picked up three hits, a walk, scored twice, and drove in a run. The only thing that he didn't do was steal a base. Expect the hit parade to continue today. Kwan is hitting .365 on the season.
Corey Julks – OF, CWS vs. Robert Gasser ($3.4K DK; $2.6K FD)
Freedom feels good, doesn't it? Julks is finally free from the outfield logjam in Houston and is playing every day on the South Side. Julks has a modest four-game hitting streak and three multi-hit efforts since joining the starting lineup for good on May 21. The Sox have been impressed enough to bat Julks in the cleanup slot against lefties. I like the upside in this price range.
Also consider: David Fry, Lane Thomas, J.D. Martinez
