5 Fantasy Football Bold Predictions - Frank Ammirante's Week 6 Picks

Bryce Young - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Frank Ammirante's five fantasy football bold predictions for Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season. Expert predictions for Bryce Young, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Tucker Kraft, and more.

It's time for another week of the NFL season, so let's get right into my bold predictions column. This is a piece where I try to pick five players to hit their ceiling. The actionable way to use this article is to help with a start-sit decision. You can also use the player in your DFS lineup or target them in player props.

It was a disappointing result last time around, as I was shut out for the second consecutive week. However, Garrett Wilson still had a strong game, so that's still worth pointing out. I'll try to get back on track this week.

With that in mind, let's dive into my Week 6 bold predictions on Bryce Young, Chase Brown, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Travis Hunter, and Tucker Kraft.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Bryce Young Throws For 250+ Yards and 2+ Touchdowns

Bryce Young has been underwhelming this season, throwing for 951 yards with seven touchdowns and four interceptions. The former first overall pick is averaging only 5.5 yards per attempt. However, there are reasons to be optimistic this week.

For one, despite these numbers being well above season averages, Young has actually done this earlier this year. Back in Week 2, Young threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns against the Cardinals.

But more importantly, it's about the matchup vs. the Cowboys.

During this stretch, Wilson (450 yards, three TD), Williams (298 yards, four TD), Love (337 yards, three TD), and Fields (283 yards, two TD) each went for 250+ yards and 2+ touchdowns, so you have to like Young's chances here.

It's also worth noting that the Panthers have a 23-point implied total this week, which is more than usual for them. We could even see Jalen Coker get back on the field this week, as the second-year wideout has returned to practice.

When you consider this elite matchup for Young, 250+ yards and 2+ touchdowns doesn't feel out of reach, even though it's a high bar from what he's done this year.

Chase Brown Catches 6+ Passes

Chase Brown has been one of the biggest busts in fantasy football, averaging only 2.5 yards per carry with only one touchdown. The Bengals' offense has collapsed without Joe Burrow, with Brown being impacted the most. However, there are a couple of key reasons to be hopeful in a turnaround.

First, Brown has continued to dominate the workload for the Bengals. We haven't seen rookie Tahj Brooks get involved, and Samaje Perine is only utilized in a two-minute drill or third-and-long situation.

Second, the Browns traded for Joe Flacco this week. While this isn't anything close to a splash move, you have to think that Flacco will be an upgrade over Jake Browning. As an experienced veteran, expect Flacco to get the ball out quickly.

With that in mind, we could see more checkdowns to Brown as Flacco tries to avoid the pressure that he'll likely face behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL.

The Bengals are 14-point road underdogs against a Packers team off the bye this week, so we can expect them to air it out while they play from behind. Considering these circumstances, I like Brown to play a major role as a safety valve for Flacco, resulting in 6+ receptions.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt Rushes For 100+ Yards

Jacory Croskey-Merritt is coming off a breakout game against the Chargers, where he rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. It was the first time that Bill dominated the workload in this Commanders backfield.

While Chris Rodriguez Jr. still had five rush attempts, each of those came on the final drive of the game, with the Commanders just eating up clock up 27-10. It feels like Washington is finally letting Bill take over the usage here.

Up next is a terrific matchup against the Bears. This is a defense allowing 6.05 yards per carry, which ranks 32nd in the NFL. We've seen Ashton Jeanty (138 yards) and Javonte Williams (76 yards on only 10 carries) run all over this group.

It also helps that the Commanders are 4.5-point home favorites here, which means that this game projects as a positive game script, where we could see a bit more rushing volume, just like last week.

Bill has been one of the most efficient backs in the league, so getting to 100+ rushing yards looks easily attainable for him.

Travis Hunter Gets 100+ Receiving Yards

Next up, we're riding with the second overall pick to finally have his breakout game. It's been a disappointing start for Travis Hunter, as he's failed to even come close to lofty expectations in fantasy football.

However, the two-way start is coming off an intriguing game against the Chiefs, where he caught three passes for 64 yards, including an impressive 44-yard reception in tight coverage. That could make the team look to get him more involved downfield.

It was also interesting to see the Jaguars make a trade this week, shipping cornerback Tyson Campbell to the Browns for another corner in Greg Newsome. The team feels like Newsome is a better fit for their scheme. What if this move signals that they want to use Hunter a bit more on offense?

That would be good news for the upcoming matchup against the Seahawks, who are dealing with injuries in the secondary to players like Devon Witherspoon. We just saw Emeka Egbuka go off for seven catches and 163 yards against this group.

With that in mind, we'll take a shot on a breakout from Hunter here.

Tucker Kraft Puts Up 100+ Receiving Yards

Tucker Kraft has slowed down since his huge game in Week 2, where he put up 124 yards, combining for 85 yards in two games since that spike week.

But expect a big game from the talented tight end against a Bengals defense that ranks 29th in receiving yards allowed to opposing tight ends.

We just saw Sam LaPorta go off for five catches and 92 yards against this group. Don't be surprised if a YAC machine like Kraft has a big game as well.

The Packers have the highest implied total on the slate. As 14-point favorites, they're expected to blow out the Bengals, which means that they'll have more drives than usual, giving Kraft an opportunity to have a big game.

We've already seen Kraft put up 100+ yards in a game this season, so we'll bet on it happening again in this smash spot. Ride with the Packers version of George Kittle in this exploitable matchup.
