Zion Williamson Fills Up The Box Score In Loss To Bucks
4 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson scored 34 points with eight rebounds, six assists, a block, and a steal in a loss to the Bucks on Thursday. Williamson did have five turnovers- the second-most he's had in a game this season- though he made up for that with his solid contributions in the assist and free-throw categories. The second-year pro has been excellent no matter the format, as he's on pace to become the first player since Kevin McHale to average 25 points per game on at least 60 percent shooting from the field. Amazingly, 13.9 of his 16 shot attempts come from less than five feet from the basket, and he makes 9.0 of those shots per game, the most in the NBA. That's bad news for Saturday's opponent, the Spurs, who have allowed the 11th-most makes per game from that distance.
