Zack Wheeler Middling Again Monday, Takes Loss
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler was underwhelming in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Diamondbacks. Wheeler pitched six innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits (including two home runs) and a walk with three strikeouts. The 32-year-old hasn't been bad this season but hasn't been what fantasy managers were drafting him for. He is now 3-4 with a 4.11 ERA and 10.11 K/9 rate through 10 starts. The encouraging thing is that his ERA estimators are all in the low-to-mid threes, so hopefully those results will start to materialize. Wheeler will face a tough matchup at the Braves in his next start.
