Zack Wheeler Loses Saturday's Game 2
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starter Zack Wheeler couldn't limit the Houston Astros offense during Saturday's World Series Game 2, allowing five runs (four earned) while walking and striking out three apiece over five innings. He was tagged with the loss and is 1-2 in postseason play, but he owns a 2.67 ERA over five starts. The 32-year-old Wheeler held his place as one of the best pitchers in baseball during the regular season, pitching to a 2.82 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 26.9% strikeout rate and added 12 victories across 26 starts. The right-hander will get another start if the series goes long enough to try and redeem himself.
