Zack Wheeler Bounces Back on Monday
6 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Zack Wheeler dominated the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Wheeler went seven innings, allowing just one run on five hits to go along with 10 strikeouts. The 28-year-old bounced back after a mediocre start last outing against the Baltimore Orioles in which he barely got through five innings. Nonetheless, this was Wheeler's fifth quality start in his last six games. Despite the great pitching line, this performance actually snapped Wheeler's six-start winning streak, showing how well he has pitched lately. The righty lines up to face the Washington Nationals in his next start.
