Zack Greinke Named Opening Day Starter For Astros
Houston Astros starting pitcher Zack Greinke has been named the Opening Day starter, according to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. Greinke went 3-3 with a 4.03 ERA over 12 starts in 2020, posting a 24.5 percent strikeout rate and a 3.3 percent walk rate in 67 innings. He will open the season on the road against the Oakland Athletics, after making three starts against them in 2020 in which he went 1-1 with a 3.71 ERA and a 24.3 percent strikeout rate. Greinke will be a must-start against Oakland in any format.
