Zack Greinke Named Opening Day Starter For Astros
4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Zack Greinke has been named the Opening Day starter, according to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. Greinke went 3-3 with a 4.03 ERA over 12 starts in 2020, posting a 24.5 percent strikeout rate and a 3.3 percent walk rate in 67 innings. He will open the season on the road against the Oakland Athletics, after making three starts against them in 2020 in which he went 1-1 with a 3.71 ERA and a 24.3 percent strikeout rate. Greinke will be a must-start against Oakland in any format.
