Zack Cozart Injured Monday Night
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Zack Cozart left the game in the 12th inning on Monday night after an awkward slide into second base that saw his head collide with Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu. Manager Brad Ausmus confirmed that Cozart injured his neck and head on the play, but he wouldn't say if Cozart was being evaluated for a concussion. Cozart is 7-for-63 (.111) with no homers and only four RBI on the season, so he's likely been dropped in a lot of mixed leagues already. We wouldn't be surprised if he sat out a game or two. David Fletcher would be the likeliest candidate to see starts at the hot corner with Cozart injured.
