Zack Britton Could Miss Significant Time
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Zack Britton (elbow) has been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive July 20. Britton is dealing with a left elbow sprain, so he could be out for longer than 10 days. In fact, Britton missed the first two and a half months of the season after having surgery on his left elbow. He has struggled when healthy this season and could very well be done for the year. The Yankees have plenty of other arms to use in high leverage spots, so the loss of Britton isn't too significant. He can go ahead and be placed on the waiver wire, assuming anyone had him rostered.
