Zach Thompson Throws Four Decent Innings On Saturday
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Zach Thompson threw four solid innings against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday before a rain delay cut his start short. Thompson actually struggled at first, allowing two runs in the first inning before settling in to throw three scoreless after that. His total line for the day was four innings pitched, two runs allowed (zero earned though) on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts. Thompson has been excellent, and the 27-year-old rookie will head into his next start with a 1.93 ERA on the year.
