Zach Davies Has Another Shaky Rehab Outing
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies (shoulder) allowed three hits and four earned runs while walking five and striking out two in 3 2/3 innings (79 pitches) in his latest rehab start for Triple-A Colorado Springs on Friday. Manager Craig Counsell said the team will talk about the next step for Davies. The right-hander has not been impressive on his rehab assignment so far, so the Brewers are likely having second thoughts about activating him from the disabled list. He's been out since May 29 and was 2-5 with a 5.23 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and mediocre 6.5 K/9 in eight starts before his injury. Fantasy owners can wait and see how he fares in his return before considering adding him.
