Zac Gallen Scratched On Monday With Forearm Soreness
4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen (forearm) was scratched from his scheduled start against the Oakland Athletics on Monday. He is experiencing right lateral forearm soreness. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo explained that Zac Gallen felt the discomfort while swinging a bat, not while pitching. Forearm issues are always a bit scary for pitchers, but we don't know enough at this point to sound the alarms for Gallen. Through four starts this spring, Gallen has posted a 2.13 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 11 strikeouts over 12.2 innings. His current ADP is around 50th overall. He should continue going at that point unless we get some bad news in the coming days.
