Zac Gallen Has Rough Outing Against Blue Jays
4 months agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zac Gallen got demolished on Sunday, allowing seven runs (six earned) in 3 ⅔ IP in an 8-7 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. He got off the hook after the Diamondbacks rallied from 7-0 down to tie up the game, but ultimately it was too much to overcome. Gallen gave up nine hits and walked one while punching out just one batter. The 28-year-old has been pretty bad after a brilliant start on June 29 in his first game back off the IL, allowing 15 runs (13 earned) in 13 IP since. The all-star break is coming at a good time for Gallen, who could clearly use the rest. He should be held onto in fantasy leagues and makes for a decent buy-low if anyone is scared by his last few outings.
