Yu Darvish Throws Live Batting Practice Tuesday

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Yu Darvish (elbow) threw live batting practice on Tuesday and "looked good," according to manager Joe Maddon. The Japanese right-hander was a failure in his first year in Chicago, going 1-3 with a 4.95 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 49 K's in 40 innings over just eight starts due to his arm issues. The 32-year-old does have a career 11.0 K% in his six-year career, though, and he had plenty of time to rehab his arm before the 2019 season. There is a lot of bounce-back potential here, and Darvish could be an excellent value pick in the middle rounds of drafts if he stays healthy all season.
