Yu Chang Nearing A Return
1 year agoBoston Red Sox infielder Yu Chang (wrist) could be activated from the injured list in the coming days, according to MLB.com. The 27-year-old has played just 17 games this season before hitting the IL in late April with a broken hamate bone in his left wrist. Chang hit just .136 before the ailment and owns a career .206 average and .629 OPS with two steals across five seasons. However, manager Alex Cora assured reporters that the native of Taiwan will be the clubs starting shortstop upon his return. That will displace David Hamilton, who's had the majority of reps at short recently, but he's slashing just .120/.241/.160 across 11 contests.
