Yoshinobu Yamamoto Shelled In Second Spring Start
9 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto wasn't nearly as sharp in his second spring start, a 12-9 Cactus League win over the Chicago White Sox. Yamamoto threw three innings, allowing five earned runs on six hits, three walks, and four strikeouts. Despite what the box score might suggest, the righty wasn't hit all that hard as three of the six hits were infield singles and a fourth hit was a bunt single. The three walks in three innings were a bit surprising, however, but the good news is he still averaged more than a K per inning and hasn't given up a long ball through five spring innings. The 25-year-old will look to get back on track next time out.
