Yoshihisa Hirano Throws Another Scoreless Inning
4 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Yoshihisa Hirano came in to finish the second game of the doubleheader against the Padres and allowed one hit and one walk, but didn't allow a run. While this isn't really news in itself it's worth noting that the current Mariners closer, Taylor Williams, had a meltdown and allowed five runs in the first game of the doubleheader. Hirano has yet to allow a run this season and could start getting save chances now that Williams has given the Mariners a reason to look elsewhere.
