Yoan Moncada Rolls Ankle In Friday’s Loss To Seattle
3 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada rolled his left ankle ducking out of the way of a pitch during Friday's loss to the Mariners. After being checked out by the trainers, he was able to stay in the game. He went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a walk in Friday's loss. The 26-year-old received treatment after the game and he will be examined again ahead of Saturday's contest. Moncada is slashing .278/.403/.398 with five home runs, 35 RBI, 31 runs scored, and two stolen bases across 295 plate appearances in 2021. Leury Garcia would handle third base duties if Moncada misses any time, but is mainly an option in deep-league formats. Moncada is considered day-to-day and fantasy managers should check back on Saturday to ensure the White Sox third baseman is in the starting lineup.
