Yoan Moncada Open To Position Change
6 years agoChicago White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said that second baseman Yoan Moncada is open to a position change, and it has been discussed by the front office and coaching staff "but we're going to wait to see how this offseason plays out before we fully commit to any reconfiguring of the infield," Hahn said. In his second season with Chicago, Moncada hit just .235/.315/.400 with 17 home runs, 61 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 149 games. He has played some third base before in his time with the Red Sox. There remains upside in Moncada because of his power/speed profile, but for now he's mostly middle infield depth in deep mixed and AL-only leagues.
