Yimi Garcia Returning In May
Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Yimi Garcia (elbow) is nearing the end of his rehab but still won't be back until May, according to manager Dave Roberts. The plan is to then give him a full season's workload for the rest of the summer. Garcia hasn't pitched since 2016 after getting Tommy John surgery on Oct. 25 of that year. His high-water mark came in 2015 when he pitched 56 2/3 innings, striking out 68 batters while walking only 10. The Dodgers haven't had anyone reliable in their bullpen besides Ross Stripling and Josh Fields, so Garcia could get a good look as the team's bridge to closer Kenley Jansen.
