5 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to place the franchise tag on defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, and the team could then look to trade him after that, especially after he said he's no longer interested in signing a long-term deal with them. Placing the franchise tag on defenders and then trading them was more of a revolutionary idea last year, but there are many candidates for it this year and it's becoming more of the norm instead of just a recent one-year trend. Ravens linebacker Matthew Judon and defensive tackle Chris Jones of the Chiefs are other candidate to be tagged and then traded. There aren't many impact pass-rushers on the open market, so teams in need of improving their pass rush could be interested in trading for these players.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
