5 years agoThe New York Yankees had one of their top evaluators watching free-agent starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel's simulated game on Sunday in Newport Beach, Calif. It doesn't mean a whole lot, though, as the Yankees always do their due diligence with players like this. The southpaw remains a free agent but should find a deal with a club after the June draft, as he'll no longer have draft-pick compensation tied to him. Keuchel is a ground-ball and command artist and not a strikeout guy, so his fantasy value will depend on where he lands. A spot in New York's starting rotation would be a good spot for wins, but he could be a shaky fantasy commodity in a hitter's ballpark and a tough division.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
