Yankees Put Josh Donaldson On 10-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe New York Yankees placed infielder Josh Donaldson (calf) on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with a right-calf strain and recalled infielder Oswald Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. Donaldson was set to undergo an MRI exam after tweaking his injured right calf on Saturday against the Colorado Rockies, and now he'll need to take some more time off. The 37-year-old does have 10 home runs in only 106 at-bats in 2023, but he's had a tough go of it offensively otherwise. In 33 games played, the former MVP is hitting just .142/.225/.434 with a double, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored in 120 plate appearances. DJ LeMahieu should continue to see most of the starts at the hot corner for the Yankees.
