Yankees Out On Robbie Ray
5 years agoTalks between the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks regarding starting pitcher Robbie Ray are now dead, according to team officials. For Ray's fantasy owners, this is probably a good thing, as it would've been tough for him to be successful consistently in the American League East and in a hitter's park. The left-hander could still be traded before Wednesday's deadline, though, so stay tuned. The 27-year-old has a 3.91 ERA and an impressive 173 strikeouts in 129 innings (23 starts), but his propensity to walk hitters and give up gopher balls hurts him on occasion.
