Yankees Offer To Manny Machado Is Low
6 years agoWhile an exact years/dollar amount hasn't been confirmed, the New York Yankees offer to free-agent shortstop Manny Machado is "low," according to sources. Machado initially was asking for 10 years and at least $300 million at the start of free agency, but it appears no team is willing to that high in both years and money. Right now it looks as if only the White Sox, Yankees and Phillies are in the running, but Machado looks like he'll have to settle for far less. He hit .297/.367/.538 with 37 home runs, 84 runs, 107 RBI and 14 stolen bases with the Orioles and Dodgers last year and is one of the best overall players in baseball both offensively and defensively.
