Yankees Flip Mike Tauchman To Giants For Wandy Peralta
4 years agoThe New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants pulled off a fairly significant late-April trade approximately one half-hour before the Yankees got underway in Baltimore on Tuesday. Outfielder Mike Tauchman was shipped to the Bay Area while left-handed reliever Wandy Peralta is headed to the Bronx. San Francisco's already-crowded outfield adds another body and he doesn't have any minor league options remaining. Tauchman has seen limited at-bats in New York this season while producing a .214/.267/.286 triple slash in 16 plate appearances across 11 games but he does have two stolen bases. Alex Dickerson should see the most direct reduction in playing time as the odd left-handed outfielder out. The Yankees add a third southpaw reliever in Peralta, meaning Lucas Luetge might be seeing his time in the Big Apple come to an end. Moving forward both players should retain their same minimal fantasy value.
