In the first title bout between Chinese-born fighters in UFC history, Yan Xiaonan was defeated by Zhang Weili via unanimous decision. Having secured eight of her previous 17 wins by knockout, Xiaonan was aggressive in the stand-up department and even knocked Weili down. At the end of the first round, it appeared that victory was Zhang's when she had Xiaonan unconscious from a rear-naked chokehold, but Yan was rescued by the bell. In 25 minutes of action, Xiaonan landed three takedowns and 43 significant strikes. With the loss, Xiaonan's UFC record is 8-3. --Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
