5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (hand) could get the day off on Wednesday to give his hand some rest. He felt like he couldn't drive the ball at the plate lately, according to manager Mike Shildt. The veteran catcher was pinch hit for late in the game on Tuesday as a result. Molina was hitless with a walk and strikeout in three plate appearances and is now hitting .265/.294/.397 with four home runs, 18 runs, 33 RBI and four steals in 201 plate appearances on the year. This is something to keep an eye on moving forward to see if it affects his production at the plate. Matt Wieters could start a game or two while Molina rests.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
