Xavier Worthy Looking For More Touches
2 months agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy will take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. Worthy had two catches for 17 yards and three carries for 13 yards in last week's win against the Atlanta Falcons. Worthy has had two catches in the team's first three games. The rookie wide receiver has also been involved in the run game every game this season, which bodes well for him since the team is manufacturing touches for him. Worthy has been unable to do much with those touches since his strong Week 1 performance. As the season goes on, the hope is that Worthy will become a more significant part of the offense, but we have not seen a dramatic jump in usage yet. This week's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers should be a good opportunity for Worthy to capitalize on his touches. The Chargers offense and defense have been decimated with injuries, and this week's matchup should be a non-competitive contest. The Chiefs should be able to have their way on offense, and Worthy could benefit from that. Worthy remains a low-end, high-upside flex option in the Chiefs passing attack.
