Xavier Edwards Hits First MLB Homer As Part Of Cycle On Sunday
4 months agoMiami Marlins shortstop Xavier Edwards had a day to remember on Sunday, going 4-for-4 while hitting for the cycle in a 6-2 loss against the Milwaukee Brewers. The homer was also his first in the big leagues. Edwards has been on a tear since being called up, hitting .379 with a .956 OPS to go along with a homer and eight steals. The former top prospect had been hitting well in the minors before his call-up, so it doesn't seem like a total fluke that he's been doing this. Edwards should be rostered in most leagues at this point in the hopes that he can provide a great average and solid speed while scoring some runs out of the leadoff spot for the Marlins.
