5 years agoX-rays came back negative on Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed (hand) after he left the game early after taking a pitch off his left hand on Thursday. Ahmed has good grip strength and wants to play on Friday, but that decision will ultimately come down to manager Torey Lovullo. Ahmed is batting .268/.320/.418 with five home runs, 36 runs, 30 RBI and four stolen bases in his 292 plate appearances in 2019. He brings mediocre production across the board, making him valuable for depth in deep mixed and NL-only leagues.
