X-Rays Negative On Juan Lagares
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Juan Lagares' X-rays on his finger came back negative on Monday night after he was hit by a pitch while attempting to bunt. He went 1-for-3 with a homer, two runs and an RBI before leaving, so it was a good game for the defensive-minded center fielder. The 30-year-old has never hit more than six home runs in a season and has only 20 long balls in 586 games over seven years, so you shouldn't count on more power. Lagares should be fine, but he might sit out a game or two. If he were ever to miss time, Keon Broxton would likely see a big boost in playing time in center field.
