X-Rays Negative On Jonathan India's Knee
2 years agoX-rays returned negative on Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India's knee after he left early during Saturday's extra-inning loss to the Yankees. India exited Saturday's game after fouling a ball off his knee. He was able to finish his at-bat but was later replaced by Kevin Newman. The 26-year-old went 1-for-4 with a double, walk, and a run scored before leaving. India appears to have avoided a severe injury and is considered day-to-day. The 2021 NL Rookie of the Year will most likely get Sunday off as a precaution. Newman would see an uptick in at-bats if India were to miss additional games.
