He stayed in temporarily before leaving, going 1-for-3 with a single, a walk, and a strikeout. Manager Buck Showalter said after the game that X-rays came back negative and that the Mets will wait to see how sore he is tomorrow before deciding if he will play. This seems to be overall good news all things considered for fantasy managers, as Alvarez seems merely day-to-day at this time.
