3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo (foot) underwent x-rays on his bruised right foot, which turned out to be negative. He exited Friday's game against the Rangers with a right-foot contusion. The 25-year-old went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a run scored before leaving. He avoided a significant injury and is considered day-to-day. Fantasy managers should check back Saturday to see if Verdugo is in the lineup. Franchy Cordero would see an uptick in playing time while Verdugo is sidelined. Cordero isn't on the fantasy radar after slashing .200/.323/.280 across 31 plate appearances in 2022.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
