The Winnipeg Jets took center David Gustafsson with their 60th overall draft pick on Saturday in Dallas. Gustafsson, a 6-foot-2, 196-pound well-rounded player out of Tingsryd, Sweden, registered 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 45 games for HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League last season. As an 18-year-old playing in Sweden's top professional league, Gustafsson's limited point totals can be attributed to playing lighter minutes in 2017-2018. Gustafsson is known for his terrific play in his own zone, and the main question surrounding the forward's game is if he'll ever be able to produce enough offensively to warrant his second-round selection. Gustafsson will likely return to the SHL next season and could be quite a valuable asset to the Jets if he can take a step forward in the offensive zone.--Chase Davis - RotoBallerRead More News
