Wily Peralta Spoils Royals Comeback
6 years agoThe Kansas City Royals put together a six-run eighth inning on Sunday to come back from a five-run deficit and take the lead on the Yankees, but reliever Wily Peralta was having none of that. Peralta quickly gave up a lead-off double and allowed the runner to score on a two-out single to tie the game up. The Royals would go on to lose the game. Peralta had gone three straight outings without surrendering a run, but this game was a friendly reminder that even though he may vulture a few wins along the way and may even rack up a couple of saves, Peralta cannot be trusted in any way, shape, or form right now.
