Willy Adames Sitting Out Again On Thursday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (quad) will be held out of the starting lineup for the second straight game as the team faces Sonny Gray and the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. Adames exited Tuesday's game against the Reds due to a quad injury that had first come up for him over the past weekend. He should still be considered day-to-day, but at this point, a trip to the injured list wouldn't be a huge surprise. Adames has given the Brewers a big boost both offensively and defensively since joining the team in May. He's slashed .295/.379/.547 over 81 games with the team. Luis Urias will make his second straight start at shortstop on Thursday while Jace Peterson will cover Urias's typical third base post.
