4 years agoTexas Rangers designated hitter Willie Calhoun left Saturday's game vs. the Kansas City Royals early after being hit by a pitch in the bottom of the second inning. Kansas City reliever Kris Bubic hit Calhoun in the forearm to lead off the inning but he stayed in to run and scored in the frame. Andy Ibanez pinch-hit for Calhoun, who was serving as the DH, the next time through the batting order. The team should provide an update at the game's conclusion but Calhoun was in a lot of pain after the HBP per beat reporters.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
