Willie Calhoun Back With Rangers
5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Willie Calhoun (quadriceps) was activated from the 10-day disabled list on Monday and was back in the starting lineup and in left field for the first time since May 22. He went 3-for-11 with two walks in four games for Triple-A Nashville on his rehab assignment. Calhoun was 0-for-3 with a strikeout on Monday but had a homer and two RBI in four plate appearances on Tuesday and is hitting a robust .367/.406/.700 with three homers and nine RBI in 32 plate appearances with Texas this year. He should see regular playing time in the outfield, at least until Joey Gallo returns from the injured list later this week. Calhoun is available in the majority of leagues and can at least be useful in deeper mixed leagues with regular playing time.
