Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has signed the largest contract in franchise history by agreeing to an eight-year, $92 million extension. The deal kicks in next season and has an average annual value of $11.5 million. Nylander is finishing off a six-year, $45 million pact and was set to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer. The 27-year-old has been worth every cent as he leads the team this season with 33 assists and 54 points in 37 games. He has only just entered his prime, and the new deal ensures that Nylander stays a major part of Toronto's plans.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
