4 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies infield prospect William Bergolla was traded to the Chicago White Sox in a deal that sent left-handed pitcher Tanner Banks to the City of Brotherly Love. Bergolla made his High-A debut this summer and has performed quite well with a .295/.350/.385 slash line, 29 RBI, 18 swiped bags, and a 22:30 BB:K ratio. Bergolla was considered the 11th-best prospect in the Philadelphia system on MLB.com and should slot in near the top 10 in Chicago as well. Bergolla should continue to play at High-A this summer but should be expected to spend most of next season in the higher levels of the minor leagues, given his current trajectory.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
