Willi Castro Goes 3-For-4 With A Stolen Base In Finale
3 years agoDetroit Tigers infielder Willi Castro helped lead the team to a 5-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox in the team's season finale on Sunday. He went 3-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base and a run scored in the game. The 24-year-old finished the season on a four-game hitting streak, but it was a disappointing season overall for him. He broke out to the tune of a .349/.381/.550 slash line during the COVID-shortened 2020 season. This year, however, he slashed just .220/.273/.351 and spent a stretch of the year at Triple-A. It's unlikely that he'll be a major part of the team's plans for next year.
