Will Smith Picks Up Another Save
6 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Will Smith recorded his third straight save in a 3-2 win against the Cardinals on Friday night, tossing a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout. Smith faced three right-handed batters, so it appears he's now manager Bruce Bochy's preferred choice in the ninth inning over Sam Dyson. Smith has picked up the team's last three saves and has a nice 1.07 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 35 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings this year. If he's available in your league and you're in need of saves, pick him up right now.
